About The Chimney Sweep (BSIT)

At The Chimney Sweep (BSIT), Andrew has been sweeping and maintaining chimneys since 2007, operating a flue cleaning and chimney sweeping covering Arrochar and around Loch Long.   Making sure to spend time with our customers, we thoroughly explain the nature of our work offering practised advice about the use of chimney stoves, open fires and appliances. We’re happy to provide demonstrations to clients who are unsure because they’ve never used a fireplace before or who have moved to a new property with an unfamiliar fireplace. Give us a call or an email, our advice is FREE.

We are a small business which has been operating since 2007. We work tirelessly to stay at the top of our trade. We use the latest equipment to ensure our customers and their chimneys are given the best service. No mess or fuss!

You can call, WhatsApp or Text for a quick response.  During the busy period, or if I am sweeping or driving you might need to leave a message.  I will get back to you as soon as I can.  You can call on 07805 453 369 or email on mail@chimneys.scot or use the contact form below.

WOOD BURNING STOVES

Have you just had a wood burning stove installed or moved somewhere with one and want to get the best out of it? These simple tips should help you, but you can also go to https://burnright.co.uk/ for more detailed instructions, tips and advice:

  • Choose the right fuel – always use properly seasoned wood.
  • Unseasoned Green wood is incredibly polluting and considered more harmful to the environment than fossil fuels
  • Understand and learn the controls for your individual appliance
  • Never burn/’slumber’ overnight
  • A wood burning stove will require sweeping quarterly when in use.
